Corpse reviver recipe (courtesy of Leah)…
LEAH'S CORPSE REVIVER:
Following a recent socially distanced (COVID-19 induced) 20km bike ride with my good friends Brian and Darren, I fortunately found myself enjoying a quick beer with them both, along with Brian’s wife Leah and their two kids (again, all respectfully socially distanced from one another).
Anyway, as I quietly sipped on my Michelob Ultra (yes…pretty nasty I know…but I’m keto, didn’t you know), as luck would have it Leah, perched up on her rather grand front porch proceeded to tell me about her recent cocktail endeavours. Her most recent being The Corpse Reviver.
Now I’m a real sucker for a cocktail (one of my keto failings) and so implored her to pass the recipe on. Fortunately for me she had it memorized (thank you Leah) and proceeded to call out directions on how to construct one. Only a few hours passed before I found one in my hands and I can contest to it being quite an enjoyable drink (see pic above), and so I suggest you consider making one…
INGREDIENTS:
- 1oz Gin
- 1oz Lillet Blanc
- 1oz Cointreau
- 1oz Lemon Juice
- Orange Peel To Garnish
- Dash of Absinthe (if attainable)
PROCESS:
Grab a cocktail shaker. Half fill with ice. Add Gin, Cointreau, Lemon Juice, Lillet Blanc and Absinthe (Leah says Absinthe is not essential). Add lid and shake vigorously. Grab a fancy glass and add ice. Open shaker and pour over ice. Dress with Orange Peel and enjoy…
